RoboEdit PDF size considerations
Scanned books are often provided in PDF format. Longer books result in large PDFs, that can sometimes be difficult to upload, download, or work with in general, especially in web browsers.
RoboEdit has a 50mb size limitation per book/manuscript.
If you want to upload a PDF that is larger than 50mb, you have a couple of options:
Split your title into separate books.
RoboEdit lets you add as many books as you want. If you are working on a War and Peace length book, for example, you could split the PDF into 4 separate books or volumes. This might make the project easier to work with.
Compress your PDF.
RoboEdit offers a free PDF Compression tool. RoboEdit does not require ultra high-quality images to perform OCR; a human editor also might not require the absolute highest-quality PDF to make out the words and ensure they are digitized properly.
